Spiritual Reflections for a Lenten Journey With Jim Krisher
Wednesdays, 6:30 pm at St. Augustine’s
March 11, 18, and 25
Session 1 - Our Radiant Life in Christ
Jim will speak about the beauty of created life & draw out the incredible riches of the life that is given to us in the person of Jesus Christ. You’ll leave with a renewed awareness of God’s love, & the astonishingly good news of God’s designs for humanity.
Session 2 - Draw Near the Throne of Grace
People who love God have always wanted nothing more than to be with God, to be in touch with God. But we may have imagined or been taught that full access to God is only available to certain people in religious professions. Drawing on a powerful teaching from the New Testament book Hebrews, Jim will set forth the Good News of God's desire for closeness with every one of us.
Session 3 - Spiritual Surrender: Yielding Yourself to a Loving God
The catchphrase "Let go and let God" often seems too simplistic for those going through troublesome times. And we rarely think of surrender in terms of pleasure and joy. Jim will explore what it means for us to live fully surrendered to our God of Love in all the circumstances of life.
